I never buy it to prepare myself, but I like it when its prepared well in various dishes. There is this one item that I had at PF Changs. I think it was coconut curry vegetables and tofu. That was pretty good.

The 'no' folk just don't know how to cook or where to buy from. That's all.

I could do with a "sometimes" option. I've never managed to cook anything I liked with plain tofu, but you can get ready-marinated tofu in the UK and it's fantastic in a stir-fry.
If anyone has a good recipe for plain tofu (or even just a good marinade) that they'd like to share with me, I'll be only too pleased to try it. |

Tofu, also called doufu (often in Chinese recipes) or bean curd (literal translation), is a food of Chinese origin, made by coagulating soy milk, and then pressing the resulting curds into blocks. The making of tofu from soy milk is similar to the technique of making cheese from milk. Wheat gluten, or seitan, in its steamed and fried forms, is often mistakenly called "tofu" in Asian or vegetarian dishes.
