DId anyone see this? I had to catch it on the replay. At this year's MTV Lou Reed joined The Raconteurs on satge to perform "white light/white heat".
Jack Black gets the honor of introducing them. Its fucked up they only show over a minute of footage of it on MTV, goddammit this is legendary. Can anyone remember the last time lou reed was on mtv? I like how lou reed at the end says "Mtv needs to play more rock music". you can watch the video here link Also speaking of the raconteurs, I saw them live opening for dylan this week and they were amazing. They're a very tight band. I'd recommend getting a bootleg of one of their shows instead of the album, cause the shows are more wild, unpredictable and have extra songs not on the record

Yeah, that's the shortest version of white light/white heat ever.
Lou's voice didnt sound the best, but the guy looked like he was having a good time, and that's what matters. I loooove the raconteurs and jack white and brendan benson. They also played cheap sunglasses with Billy Gibbons. I thought that was cool http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RnCSuogt9v0 |
