GLOW season 2 was good.
Everyone is so embarrassing on that show. And yeah, shower scene where the humongously-titted “antagonist” character (who was more of a protagonist this season) is standing feeling sorry for herself in a crap shower that probably smells like mildew. I felt sad for her. Not a turn on. Just seemed like a “fuck it and duck you and fuck everything” moment to me. Plus that lady’s face and voice are bizarre in a way I can’t quite pin down. Really weird though. God, so embarrassing. Everyone! But great show. |

that recent show “the crown” on netflix in it there are all these questions about all sorts of problems, and mega-family conflicts, and the queen wants to do one thing or another, but the one who decides and resolves them is some moustachioed guy who is the top... “courtier” or whatever. what’s his name. dickie or something. i forget his title. but if you’ve seen the show you know who i’m talking about. even after retirement, he’s pulling every string! |

been watching some old BBC shows on the Youtube.
Professor Hutton's Curiosities. - love how the BBC does not add superfluous camera bullshit, or needless music, or stupid sensational shit and just lets this smart, if eccentric professor, show us around various hidden gems in the UK. Also Below Deck - Mediterranean - pure trash show, but great escapism. Hamilton's Pharmacopia - finished up the second season. great show. never dumbs down the science.

i’ve recently been INHALING season 1 of babylon 5
i had always heard the name but never paid attention to it. i do remember chanelflipping to some episodes see, back in the days of OTA teevee, you missed episode 1 and you missed the series. who the fuck were all those people and what were they talking about? but now the thing is on amazon and i needed some background noise to fill dull paperwork and sure sure, not the greatest production values. very early cgi looks like ass. BUT NOW I’M HOOKED! worst of all is i realize now i have been a victim of a huge scam. cuz i used to think “oh, DS9 is the best star trek” and yeah DS9 is great, but— DS9 RIPPED OFF BABYLON 5!!! like, COMPLETELY. holy fuck the veil has been removed! bajoran blessings, motherfuckers |

Yesterday's Wimbledon Men's semi final of Anderson against Isner was quite sensational: 7-6 (6) 6-7 (5) 6-7 (9) 6-4 26-24
I started watching around 6 or 7PM when it was something like 7-7 in the final set, thinking it was going to be a tie-break. Lord no, it lasted for 2-3 hours more! This was the breaking point in the match, Anderson falling down while hitting the ball, then while standing up hitting the return with a left handed forehand while they had already been on the court for SIX hours in a row!!! This match finally ended at ~9PM (UK time 8PM). Then the next match started Nadal - Djokovic. With a curfew at 11PM UK time it ended the night with a very close tiebreak that Djokovic in the end won, even though Nadal took the lead at first. Unfortunately Boris Becker is one of the commentators at the BBC for that match. Good grief his accent is so horrible! (McEnroe did the previous match and was complaining about having to sit through all these six hours and where was his dinner ) Today will be a busy day continuation of Nadal - Djokovic semi- final, with Djokovic leading 2-1 in sets Ladies Wimbledon final of Kerber vs Serena Williams WC Belgium - England In the meantime I started watching Agents of SHIELD from the start. I can watch it for free until the end of the month, let's see how far I can get ;-)

Been watching American Horror Story based on convos here. Started from the beginning and been watching through the seasons. I am about 6 episodes into the Hotel season with Lady Ga Ga.
I like it. I think it stretches at times to be as fucked up as it can be here and there. But overall, watching is a fun experience. It certainly does it's job of making the viewer feel uneasy. Creatively though, I really am geeking out on it. It's fun to watch the cast recycled like this from season to season as new characters. And it's really fun watching the powerhouse actors/actresses when they share intense scenes. Good stuff. Pretty unique show. |
