6. Dave Matthews and any other slow chill shit. i mean i can dig slow music but this idea of "chill" crap that all it is a few chords slopped together, lyrics about the beach or whatever...ugh. just that whole jack johnson/matthew scenes irks me.
7. Morrissey. I sorta like the smiths but i just hate the sound/idea of "Morrissey" for some reason.

A swedish band called Takida. They sound exactly like Nickleback, just even worse, and they're played on the radio everywhere. They have the most stereotypical pop songs ever and they think they can cover it up with some distorted power chords and a singer with a "cool" macho voice. Yeah right.

I have alsp recently began to hate The Killers. Before I haven't really cared one bit about them - then I heard their Shadowplay cover and also that they're going to cover songs by Tom Waits, Iggy Pop and more great artists. Makes me wanna puke.

Of course there are worse bands out there (Brokencyde anyone?), but those are some that really annoy me right now.

"Vauxhall and I" is mostly a really good Morrissey album, and he has some good singles (most notably, "Suedehead") but yeah, as a whole, Morrissey solo is worthless garbage. The music is almost always terrible, and hearing Morrissey try to sound relevant and interesting over top of some shitty guitar playing is.. embarassing. And I'm not even a Smiths fan, really, besides "Louder than Bombs", but at least they had one of the best guitar players.. well.. ever.. who was also a competent, wonderful arranger in his own right, who would structure songs perfectly and work with Morrissey to make the songs sound right. A lot of the Morrissey solo shit puts him in with music that just doesn't fit in. You've got your "Rockabilly" Morrissey record here, your "hard rock" Morrissey record here, then your "Smiths-lite with orchestral flourishes" here... I've heard enough of them now (thanks to too many acquaintances who are huge Mozheads, not to mention I listened to quite a few myself back in the day before I realized THEY SUCK) to know that he's lousy.

The opposite, for me.
I prefer Bona Drag, Viva Hate and Kill Uncle rather than anything by The Smiths.
Partly cause of the intruments: I like the use of trumpet, violin, keyboards etc. it makes the music "colorful".
Unlike The Smiths who sounds grim.

It's just really really egomaniacal in a sense how its just HIM and thats it. and that cover of his new album with the baby? cmon its so pathetic.

For some reason, I find Shinedown more listenable than most "modern rock" bands. Many it's because their singer doesn't sound like an Eddie Vedder or Kurt Cobain ripoff, or because their breakthrough song ("45") was in 6/8, rather than the somewhat overused 4/4 time....

Limp Bizkit is awesome. 3 Dolla Bill Y'All$ is one of my favorite albums of all time. They've released some awful shit, but they're actually entertaining.. they have a sense of humor. And some of the riffs are actually awesome (see: all of 3 Dolla... the verse guitar part in "My Way"... etc.). Great band.

Yeah that album is cool because you don't notice Fred Durst that much. He doesn't do much rapping or whatever and it makes the music significantly better. Fred Durst is the worst part of the band by far.
