Bird Box was really great. It was creepy enough I had shivers after it was over.
Just my two cents.

Nothing was shoved down my throat. I saw it appear on Netflix, watched the trailer by choice and then watched the film by choice. I don’t even know what the “Bird Box challenge” actually is. Is it doing blindfolded stuff? Because that would be stupid, and I’m not one for meme challenges anyway... ever... at all. It’s fine and a plenty way to spend an evening, but it’s not a great or even “very good” movie. It’s just not bad, with some memorable moments. |

Fucking some magazine did a whole story on how “Bird Box is bad...” (oh, is it, magazine? Is it objectively bad? Wish you’d told me before I stupidly watched and moderately enjoyed it) “...so why do so many people like it?”
This was kind of infuriating to me. Giving a movie 3 stars out of 5 or whatever, or ranking it as a 6 out of 10 is one thing. You might not love it, but you know there are entertaining, enjoyable or interesting parts. Just saying, fuckin’, “This is bad so why do you like it?” is some fucking snobby ass shit. *Gasp!* Because maybe the critical consensus doesn’t dictate consumer opinion? Because maybe there is no such thing as objectively bad? And if there is, it’s ceetainly not measured by a bunch of critics? It’s really not bad, just flawed and not great. I’d probably even watch it again. PLUS... The score was done by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross. I try to watch every movie they score because they do such a good job. This time, they weren’t given a ton of room to explore and tinker, so it kinda just sounds like a regular, occaialy intense, score, but there are some sweet moments. Fuck you, magazine. |

You haven’t seen it! And even if it is — which I don’t think it is, it’s just not good — is it bad because it has negative reviews from critics, and positive ones from normal viewers? Jesus, if we’re gonna do that can we at least expand it to music? “Drake is bad, so why do so many stupid fuckers think he’s awesome?” Bah. |

Exactly what it is, people going about their day blindfolded for "fun" or whatever inspired them to be dumbfucks for a day.

Watched the first half before bed. Hadn't seen this since I was a kid. Dude honestly doesn't even look that weird, and I can't figure out why everyone treated him like such a freak. Maybe 2019 is just that much more inclusive. Powder dresses like he really digs Morrissey. |

Some Fox anchor in Salt Lake City was the best pull quote they could get. Not a great sign. I saw this when I was younger, but I don’t remember a second of it. |

i havent had time for moobys lately but today im watching... the last jedi? as a talkback movie. with plenty pauses yeah.
no way seaside macchu picchu is the most unfindable place in the universe! it would be full of tourists in real life lmao. the opening scene was highly emotional, yeah. so far feels like a team of writers took care of this bit, another writer another bit, and so forth. i had some martinis which were fucking GREAT that ro-ro girl or whatever is boring oh, “rey” lol — wtf did they do to laura dern — lmao @ benicio all fucked up — i liked the character all the racists hated other than that, repetitive to no end |

The Last Jedi was repetitive? I’ve been watching Star Wars movies since the original Return of the Jedi was still in theaters and I’ve never been more surprised by the events of a Star Wars film. It was good. Worst part was the Leia scene (you know the one) and the somewhat disappointing ending. Rest of it was boss |

Last jedi was the best star wars film since empire
Cinematography was top tier and the movie was just so fucking weird and dreamy Brilliant film, loved del Toro, darn, and that casino scene w the big horse aliens, the porgs, and luke chugging the alien milk |

Agree, it was great. I think the new films are better than the originals, as I’ve said. And Empire is good in a different way. It’s partly nostalgia. But The Force Awakens and, more so, The Last Jedi, just plain kick ass as smart and beautiful action and adventure films. Love the casino scene as well. |
