If you guys haven't checked out the new Saxon Shore album and you're big into post-rock, do so immediately.

oh, i forgot to mention this, yellow tears 'dont cry' vinyl is the best noise recod ive heard this year, just absolutely shrieking blackened dada-noise fuckery. not to mention thier performnce at no fun was my favorite of the whole weekend. Dom Fernow sold me this record actually at the show. The dudes are also in Halflings and the band is kinda similar but Halflings is almost a noise-grind band like Two Dead Sluts: One good Fuck, and Yellow Tears is more strictly experimental.

Haha, why does it piss you off?
Ducktails is pretty overrated, to me. It's not bad, and some of it is actually awesome (the more drawn-out stuff). But as a whole, I'm not sold. Sun Araw, on the other hand, is quite awesome. That Predator Vision split (Predator Vision's side is way better, though) is amazing. |

this album has become one of my favorites of the year. its real simple but it just really grabbed me.
its an album by israeli guitarist yair yona. its VERY influenced by john fahey and basho and he is very aware of that. but it is still an icredibly good "american primitive" album, that has a lot of self awareness. i was priviliged enough to ionterview him for the radioo two days ago and it aired yesterday. anyhoo he has put up his entire album for Download. although its nicer if one was to buy it... http://yairyona.bandcamp.com/
