Nosir. just spent $600 on my taxes. Feel bad about spending on anything. Also, the bookstore didn't have it and I don't want to buy the digital version. How would you rate it on a scale of 1 to 5 stars? |

Um... 3.5?
It's good. I think it will get great. I wrote a lot of things on my comic blog but don't want to spoil anything for you. Get it asap though.

Ok so I read Batman #21 (the Button part 1) and... uhh...
I think it just became clear to me just how much comics have shrunk over the years. It's half ad space, and literally less than two minutes of story (comic book time) that's I read in less than five minutes, real time. Here... the button, part 1... the comic I've been waiting a year for: *zap* "Barry!" "Be right there Bruce" *fwoosh* "Flash?" "The reverse actually." *punch* *punch* *punch* *stab* *punch* *throw* *punch* *punch* "Hmm, mysteries..." *zap out* *fwoosh in* "I'm too late" END. What the actual fuck? I repeat: WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK? This cost me $3.99 and a year of anticipation. Comics are no longer worth buying on a single-issue basis. I think I'm just gonna be a TPB guy from now on. |

Haha. I can understand the disappointment. It was basically one scene right? I think the tpb will be worth waiting for. I am just so in the habit of buying issues each week now.

Ah, you wrote "Batman #1" instead of "#21" on your Wordpress page. Sorry bro. In the habit of proofreading other people's stuff now (though never... NEVER... my own ) |

Haha that blog is fullllll of typos. I just jot down thoughts immediately after reading an issue. No planning nor proofreading.
Yes flash 21 came out this past week but I haven't picked it up yet. Batman 22 is out this week.

so Saturday was Free Comic Book Day. Any of you go out and get comics?
As far as FCBD issues went I grabbed Avatar, TMNT, Buffy, and Guardians/Defenders. And bought like 20 issues on top of that since I hadn't been to the comic shop in a couple of weeks. Picked up parts two and three of The Button as part of that pile.

Sarcasm? I can't tell. Because it kinda has turned into a bit of a fuckaround at this point. It's been ONE YEAR, almost exactly, since Bats found the button. Then Superman was supposed to bring some answers. Then the Flash was. Then "The Button" was going to be this huge event... according to that release, the Button ends with Flash #22, which comes out in two days. Now the REAL big huge event is coming, and it's coming...... in six months. What the fuck, DC? I actually kind of hate you right now! Oh, btw, that epic Bane storyline that started with "I Am Gotham" and took damn near a year itself and brought Batman face to face with a vengeful Bane who took over the criminal world and (maybe?) murdered someone in he bat-fan (don't know, didn't read it all)? You know, that thing? Well, after Bane reacquainted himself with Venom he goes cray-cray all over Gotham and bears the fuck out of everything/everybody. It's all super epic. Wanna know how it ends? Cause I can tell you without spoiling anything. It ends with... (Are you ready?) ... ... Batman head-butting Bane. Like, seriously. Batman is about to die, because Bane on Venom is too much for him, and .... Bane leaves himself "open" for a head butt that immediately takes him out. After like a year of terror. Head butt. Case closed. Thing over. Day saved. Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat |

Wasn't sarcasm. I'm excited. The button has been a letdown in the first two issues I admit, but I'm still excited.

so... anything you guys?
I have been reading new stuff, still. The new Youngblood series is awesome. Anyone check that out? I've read 3 out of 4 issues of "The Button" and it gets pretty bad. I'm gonna read the last one because OCD, but meh. Sev, did you know that DC is giving away digital copies of their comics w/ print issues now? Like Marvel's been doing for a long time. But it's nice that they're doing it. I still keep a "reading journal" at comicbooknoiseredux.wordpress.com if anyone is interested.

Oh. Hi there.
The Defenders #1 was awesome. None of you will read it. But I still feel the need to tell you that it's awesome.

I'm busy reading lots of Marvel stuff from the last few years. Daredevil: Back in Black, the Old Man Logan continuations Bordertown and The Last Roni, Thor the Unworthy...
Also just read Infinity Gauntlet, which was fun, and I'm still pushing through Walt Simpnson's The Mighty Thor run. In DC, I've read some recent Batman issues like the weird ass, beautifully drawn Swamp Thing crossover. What a great issues that was! |

why so much Marvel? Did you end up doing Marvel Unlimited?
I recently read Infinity Gauntlet as well... and I didn't love it. https://comicbooknoiseredux.wordpres...nity-gauntlet/ What issue was the Batman/Swamp thing crossover? I know the recently released Justice League: Dark animated movie has Swamp Thing in it which piques my interest. But I've heard there are a few other of the animated movies that should really be seen before watching Dark.

I hate the whole Infinity Stone bullshit.
I just re-read the BatMan Knightfall story, and oh fuck it was such shit. so fucking stupid. needless tie ins. endless needless tie-ins. That is comics these days. No one gives a fuck about individual characters and storylines in Marvel or DC anymore. Just stupid pointless ret-cons and "events" that make people go buy pointless issues of shit titles.

I did read the whole Omnibus of Grant Morrison's The INVISIBLES. http://rxttbooks.blogspot.com/2017/0...am-before.html
It was cool, but got very boring by the last 4-5 "issues".

In Marvel and DC comics I always hated the whole "giant demigod entity wants to destroy Earth" shit. Even Galactus is boring as fuck. pointless single-minded antagonists. hell, even the silver fucking surfer got bored with Galactus.... hahahhahah
