Mussolini's daughter apparently wrote him a thank you note after he gave that salute. As a player in England (before his political affiliations were known) and managing in the lower leagues, he passed under the media's radar a bit but I can't see it carrying on next season if Sunderland are still in the Prem. To the authorities he represents all that English football has to get beyond. Even if he describes himself as a fascist rather than a racist, the distinction is obviously murky. He was also a key member of Lazio's Ultras, making any 'official' stance he might take against hooliganism look a little hypocritical. He beats up his own players but still gives the best post match interviews. Interesting times.

The fallout's getting bigger. A local sponsor has now withdrawn their backing. I can see it becoming an impossible situation before the beginning of next season. It's a PR disaster for Sunderland. |

Can't wait for tonight. Still haven't decided yet on which game to watch. I'm sure el symbols has his sauerkraut and bratwurst all ready but I'm still torn on whether I should go for pasta or tapas.

clattenburg, son of a thousand cunts, hoarding his yellow cards for some reason only to give one to mandzukic, and there was a penalty on van buyten. CUNT!

madrid is behind barca by like 13 points, and i can't stand cron-aldo. no "dream" scenario contains him except his team getting creamed and him crying. okay maybe that would be a dream final, but not an awesome one. -- ps- beckam? for serious?? |

Of course it would! What you rather have a Barca team playing dullard tick tacka dull till Messi gets it then he does his usual thing? Or Real who actually playing exciting football?
And sure Real had a bad start, but who's the only team that get Barca nervous? Real Madrid. As for all this Ronaldo hate. Piss off.

PSG have been brilliant in the first half. Besides Messi's goal Barca have been pretty crap and definitely don't deserve their lead.

Haha, I thought the same. He's doing really well, though. He's holding his own against Barcelona. If he carries on like this we could see a return of the 'Beckham for England' arguments. |

alright so i thought about it and wiped my tears and i realized that, regardless of cronaldo's sad story, on the pitch he acts like a fucking diva. fuck him! but yes, he's great, bla bla bla. still, fuck him. ha!
i shouldn't have looked at the psg/barca result which is wow, unexpected. now i gotta watch it but less suspense. meanwhile, bayern 2 juve 0 clattenburg 5! that fucker is blind. i swear. and i don't say this just for offenses against bayern. ribery stepped on vidal's calf, and vidal is the one who got a talking-to. that ref is from another planet. anyway, i enjoyed my protracted lunch break. watch in replay if you can-- bayern seemed lost for the first 15 or so minutes even though they were ahead in the score. then they got their shit together & bam! could have been 3 or 4 goals but buffon is an ace. #RESPECT |

I'll say this one thing-Ibram seemed to have the ball control of a 3 year old at times. When he was good, he was really good, mind. His side flick to Lucas(?) was just brilliant.

next week javi martinez is back in play and juve will be missing vidal and lichtsteiner. kroos could be missing that date but bayern did fine without him today.

The people on that zonalmarking site will have a field day trying to make sense of the Barca PSG game. PSG were excellent in the first half. Barca did their usual tiki taka thing but never looked that threatening until Messi's goal. Then Messi goes off injured and either Barca wake up, or PSG go to sleep. Then Zlatan scored an offside goal and it all seemed to go a bit twilight zone from then on.
So it looks like Bayern found their way to neutralise Pirlo. |
