Haha! To be honest, I actually read the books up to the start of a dance with dragons, and watched up to season 3. After that I was "yeah, I'm done with this now".

I’d be OK with Dany’s death at this point.

Hope Arya doesn’t save the day again. That would be lazy and boring.

khaleesi was always bananas, although they made it too heavy handed, and that does not make for the best drama.

the FUCKING ABSURD moment is previously, when they behead her main girl missandei on the wall and she's standing right before the whole army and cersei does not bother turning her into a fucking pin cushion with all the scorpions and archers there! i mean... what da fuq was that scene...

again not asking for moronic logic, but the show has been telling me "who are you gonna believe? this arbitrary story or your own lying eyes?"

in retrospect, clegane bowl was also kinda funny with the darth vader face

It’s not plain old tv. There’s been some epic shit in the post-books seasons that shits a giant dragon shit all over Walking Dead or whatever the fuck.

Obviously the writing isn’t what it was, but I’d argue that visually, some of the show’s best moments have been post-book.

OK, fair.... I just couldn’t think of another long-running spectacle-type show to compare to.

The fact that Walking Dead is probably GoT’s biggest competition in terms of sheer cultural influence probably says plenty about how the show stacks up to other things on TV (i.e. it annihilates them).

We all agree it’s not at its best, but honestly it had NO RIGHT to continue to be even remotely good. The fact that it’s got some of the best and most cinematic sequences — and, indeed, entire episodes — on “TV” is really quite impressive, given the fact that everything after season 6 has been one big fat experiment in what the fuck to do when you’re adapting a series that the author can’t be arsed to complete.

One look at the Battle of the Bastards, or the last minutes of season 7 (zombie, dragon, wall, OMG) or literally any episode from this season proves that more thought and time is still being put into this thing than most other shows get at their best.

*shrug*

If it is shorty, it’s GRRM’s fault. But it’s not. It’s just got a lot of Dunkirk-type moments now. Action sequences are top fuckin’ notch.

- Young Sheldon season 2
- Agents of Shield season 3, it's the best season so far.

- Eurovision Song Contest. Oh My God, why is everybody singing out of tune on top of their lungs!? They should provide free earplugs!! The Dutch song is the favourite this year, which is a first since the seventies. But even that song is boring as fuck
- NBA Playoffs!! Come on noone is watching this you US folks? Curry vs Curry. Who wins? Curry of course! Eastern finals will probably be more competitive than the Western, and Durant isn't even playing
