don't you think search option on Dime is bit fucked up? i mean it always was. when I'm searching for let's say Manic Street Preachers I can't see them as a result of search on first five pages, but if I search for a Fleetwood Mac (again for a friend o mine) I can see Manics on first page (among the Fleetwood). crap.

Quotation marks will only take you so far, though - when the band's name is basically stopwords ("filler words like the, a, who, where, do, and many, many more", the Wiki says), you need to go with percent signs. For example, a search for "the only ones" won't bring you back jack squat, but

%the only ones%

Having said that, other acts will always remain a nightmare to find unless the uploaders include special words like "whotorrent", "yestorrent" and the like in the torrent's name and/or description. The recent flood of Can torrents sure is awesome, but without an ad-hoc word like "cantorrent" they're insanely hard to locate if you're not on top of bt-dimeadozen-org or follow the links posted here by fine cats like us

 

. If you search for %can% right now, you'll get an overwhelming bunch of 13,636 results that'll make ya wanna shoot yerself in the face.

Additionally, when dots are involved, you should do a coupla searches: one with 'em and one without 'em; for instance:

I've missed a busload of stuff i guess. I only have a handful of all of the Sonic Youth shows that were taped this year. I have to use caution as my ratio is pretty low at the moment because i had to create a new account. Therefore i'm not jumping at every torrent i'd wish to have.
