I cook every day, and quite well (let's not bother with false modesty!). I used to want to run a restaurant, until I realised that cooking wouldn't be as enjoyable if had to rely on it to make a living.

To eat, pretty much anything with cheese as a major ingredient.

Do you wash light and dark colours separately, or just chuck everything in the machine together?

EDIT - Sorry, that's 19 euros in dollars. I calculated it in my head and got the exchange rates the wrong way round.

If it takes one man twenty minutes to fill a bath of water with a bucket, how long will it take two men with a bucket each to fill three baths?

To trick people into buying two copies of the same album. There'll be a third version along soon with a DVD, just you wait and see.

If a special edition of Rather Ripped was issued, with a free DVD, would you buy it?

Yes, I'd buy it, I'm sad like that. But I wouldn't keep the old one either.

West Lancashire District Council has banned its staff from taking smoking breaks, and if an employee is caught smoking when he should be working he could face the sack. Is this a good thing, or is it a vile infringement of civil liberties?

Hard to say. Instinctively, one has to saty it's wrong that smokers are entitled to extra breaks that non-smokers are not. But on the other hand we have to recognise that many smokers are addicted to a product that is made freely available to them in many thousands of shops across the land. And people stop work all the time anyway to have a chat or put the kettle on. What's the difference? Tricky.

What's you favourite pie or pasty? I've just had a feta and spinach pasty from Waterfields. They're nice.

I had a vegetable balti pie at football once, that was very nice. Or a mushroom pie at Norwich City. Or a curried parsnip pasty that I had at a shopping centre in Portsmouth. Oh, I don't know! Why did you have to get me thinking about food???
