And this episode of the Twilight Zone was one of the best ever. I vaguely remember seeing it when I was younger, but don't think I followed it close enough.

I don't know if this is the one you're talking about (I can't find the chat), but I remember very fondly an old Twilight Zone episode with William Shatner called Nick of Time, where he and his new wife become obsessed with a fortune-telling machine in a cafe.

sometimes i work in the pit and strap people in, sometimes i stand around other parts of the track and turn go-karts around when they spin out, and wistle at people who bump. and sometimes i work at the bumper boats
