to each their own, but I cant control it anymore...its like being a junkie.

After the 3rd time being on steroid inhalers just to get a bit of breath and still being short of it, in between gigs...it's a bit ridiculous...especially when singing is my outlet & passion. If I lost my voice forever, I dont know what i'd do.

when all the total smoking bans came in here for indoor places, I was massively excited to be able to go see a band and not feel like I've smoked a pack afterward. Having said that, not even a cigar club that I know of, was exempt. I mean... if you go there, you're going for a reason. Im not sure why you need to ban smoking at a smoking club...

all bars now in Houston have a patio area to smoke at if one wants.

but you are right, only a very few select places were "grandfathered" into allowing smoking in Houston. One is a cigar bar very upscale (of course. only the rich's toys are left alone) and a nic eplace to smoke a cigar but it is not convenient
