Great movie. But one of the few Hitchcock I can no longer watch, I think because I've watched it so much.

Yeah, I'd give peter jackson's king kong a rare 0/10. One of the most boring and awful films I've ever seen.
How does a person go from Bad Taste/Meet the Feebles/Dead Alive to that, anyway? |

I know what you mean. I can't wait for the week where they play tons of Hitchcock. I need to see Marnie again.

Any idea what week that is? I can't get enough of Notorious and North by Northwest. My two favorite Hitchcock movies.

Looks like there's a lot in the last two weeks of October, no real mention of a true solid week. Notorious is on 10/29 at 7:45am

Thanks. I'll have to go to the TCM site and plug in some e-mail reminders.

It was ok, I thought it was going to be better. Somewhat entertaining.

a little primitive, but good... -- ps- i just read that the studio cut the movie from 5 to 3 hours in the space of a week without kurosawa's approval, which explains A LOT. ok so the original must have been awesome. fucking suits!!! |

Marie-Antoinette
Not great off course, but I found it better than I expected. The film's not bad in itself, I think it's Sophia Coppola's usual "detachment" that doesn't suit the film here and prevents you from adhering to it. I loved the soundtrack (but that wasn't a surprise - and isn't sufficient to make a good film off course).

It was a lot better than I expected it to be. I really felt for the characters and I like the way the plot unfolded. My mom got it for $2, money well spent I say.

I had to watch A Beautiful Mind twice. Once when my girlfriend at the time dragged me to it. She kept complaining about Russel Crowe's huge mole and she insisted we leave early.
Then, I had to watch it in Psychology class and everyone fell asleep. It's a decent movie. |

His mole isn't that bad. To tell you the truth I notice it more in other movies of his.

I didn't even notice it. I rarely notice things like that on people (since the mole isn't big and brown, it's skin colored). But she seriously said it was so nasty and ugly.
Either way, I hated that girl. She always insisted I pay her way into a movie and we ALWAYS left early because of whatever reason. |
