all yall neighbas should live like me.
bulk buy and stockpile. entire years worth of toothpaste, toilet roll, deoderant, washing powder etc. - i'm nearly there and my inventory will be completed by late jan. i plan to buy about 4 more pairs of shoes this year for dirt cheap. clothes i have basically everything already. you basically do an inventory, plan your purchases and thus stop your money disappearing on necessities that have run out all the time. i live like this so my purchases are all planned in advance and i dont break below zero before payday. pretty soon i'll be at the stage where i can start to fucking SAVE money for once. |

that sounds good. it's like shopping at costco.
do you own a freezer? next step is to butcher & store your own mutton MUTTONNNNN!! o wait, you got the food front solved already. but anyway, good move except for the cost of real estate/ moving. if your housing situation is stable you're on a good path. i'd wear only 1 pair of jeans but i need filthy clothes though. also, i don't wear jeans in summer. too fucking hot. |

funny i was online shopping for bulk buys tonight and found costco uk and it sucks bigtime.
the food front - soylent/joylent is ok but not suitable for every meal and not perfect so i need other foods. i have one fridge and one freezer compartment available and need to get some sort of bulk buy organized so i can make a pack lunch for everyday and finally stop the massive hole that daily food grabs are making on my budget. housing wise i am renting a room. its not ideal but its cheap for the city apparently. |

There's a show for that. It's called Hoarders.
ps: Costco is my only line to the Motherland. Can you buy punkin' pies at your Costco too? I get those, Dickies t-shirts, and Levi 666's, at mine. Everything gets washed except for the pies. You never know who's junk has been in those shorts. |

the costco uk website has an extremely poor selection. there is a store in this city which i might visit sometime.
re: hoarders - all im doing is storing essential supplies, all other junk is thrown out. very sparse and minimal. doing what i do is not normal in the uk. we dont do much bulk buying because we dont have the feverous dream/hope of imminent apocalyptic breakdown that is the lifeblood of america. |

chest freezers are the way to go--cheap to buy, energy efficient, quiet, etc. it is possible to keep one in one's room (if new/quiet). but if you have to move often they can be a major bitch. still, great for buying perishables in bulk (meat, vegetables, fruit, etc). also to store foods cooked in bulk (e.g., buy a large cut of meat, cook it, split in portions, freeze for future use). find a good deal on sale, buy & stock. don't know what you eat, but lentils are a pretty great sweet spot in terms of portability, durability, ease, etc. go to some immigrant store & buy cheap in bulk. same with white rice which stores a long time (unless it has bugs but those are protein ha ha). you could make a meal of lentils, onions, rice, spinach & olive oil and probably live indefinitely on it with some oranges for dessert-- unlike other legumes lentils are high in lysine. oh, shit, garbanzos rule. whenever i eat garbanzos for breakfast i can skip lunch easily. i cook them in bulk in a pressure cooker. then for breakfast i heat them with tomato, olive oil, spinach, then steam some eggs on top = work all day. oh, look into electric pressure cookers-- programmable, fast, energy efficient, etc. i make white rice in 15 minutes in one of those (5 to build pressure, 10 to cook, 30 sec to vent the steam). learn the art of fermentation-- from yogurt to sauerkraut super easy to make and probiotics are good. if your irish guts tolerate gluten, learning to bake is a good skill. today i made a fantastic onion pizza to satisfy 2 people with healthy appetites for about $2 (probably could feed 4). other days i bake bread, make granola in bulk, etc. okay i need zzzz now. |

Yeah, but there's likely more methane coming out his door then all the clearcut rain forest in South America.
I'm on evenings here in Oz, so it's likely late for you, muchacho, but hopefully we can hook up on the weekend, blast some aliens, and chat about our mutual love of tacos (al pastor for me, thanks). |

I really want some water but I am not wearing proper pants and I am at my boyfriend's house and there are people here and I don't want to walk to the kitchen not wearing proper pants. But I am also too lazy to make him go get water for me.
I am so gonna die.
