Don't know if he does analogue often again and when on tour, but I remember reading about a set he did in Tokyo with Jim O'ROurke and Carlos Giffoni in 2006 (which is also released as Synth Destruction) where he surprised them by suddenly having an analogue setup. I'd love to see him analogue once, but I did see him on laptop and it wasn't boring.
Nihilist Spasm Band are very enjoyable; well worth seeing. Also, bring Asthray Navigations to Holland dammit! |

Don't know; they're different. If I had to choose I'd probably go see Merzbow if I was sure he'd be analogue. If he's on laptop... dunno. Maybe still Merzbow if I'd never seen him before, just because I've listened much more often to him than to NSB. I don't have to choose though because NSB are playing Holland again but Merzbow isn't.
maybe this helps you to decide where to go to Nihilist Spasm Band radio session from 2006 http://www.vpro.nl/programma/dwars/a...edia/31204527/ interview (skip forward 10 minutes) http://www.vpro.nl/programma/dwars/a...edia/32295413/ |
