nope...just a cardboard package...it was kinda soft, but i wouldnt really call it 'cushion'...

!@#$%!-I opened it and the record looks fine...though at the moment I actually do not own a record player. So i have no way to test the sound, though I assume that if it looks perfect, it should play perfectly...?
