I really love Master, Ride and And Justice but the rest I'm not so keen on. Some good stuff on Kill em All but not that much of a fan and the rest is mostly rubbish. I have a Master of Puppets wallet but I need to replace it because money keeps falling out of it.

Yeah, 'tallica. I remember their set at Reading 03, the 10 minutes before they came onstage was fantastic, then after about 2 minutes of them playing i had to just go

yeah, i had an epiphany similar to adam's like a month ago, i was watching tv and went to the music chanels i never listen to because they are mostly reggaeton and shakira and ciara, etc. and then the metal chanel, the only good one, started playing pantera, white zombie, stuff i've never stopped listening, then master came on, the song i mean, and they played the whole way thru (there's a radio edit that cuts the whole middle part) and i was like "fuck, this is awesome!"; then, the next day, i put it on again, and disposable heroes came on and i thought it was way better than listening to master!, i undusted the damn album and played it all the way thru!!
the first four albums are amazing, justice has shit production but still, the songs are so great, it doesn't matter. but i hardly play them anymore, before my rediscovery of master, it most have been like a year and a half before when i played kill 'em all, which is basically a california hardcore record with geeky guitars. the black album , yeah, i don't mind the odd listening of the unforgiven or sad but true but, if i played, i'd probably skip it to of wolf and man and then pop it out. |

ride the lightning was a great album. i actually used to be quite a fan, going through my 'metal' phase. they used to be quite big in japan.
but most of my love went for napalm death though. |

Master Of Puppets is one of my favourite albums of all time and one that i can still listen today getting great pleasure from it. I loved Metallica up until 'And Justice For All'. The reason i've never been too much into it is because on that album the guitar histrionics make the songs sound a little too 'technical' for my liking.

metallica suck balls hugely, except ride the lightning, master and half of kill em all. garage days eps are pretty good too. just a shame that lars ulrich is a member. i really dislike that tennis reject sooo much, such a tosser......

The early stuff is totally amazing, but it's quite depressing what they have turned into...they seem to hate making music, which surely means it's time to stop, grow old, and die.

Along with Reign on Blood, Master of Puppets has become the metal album it's OK for non-metal fans to like. Whilst I sort of like both I can't say that either are records I couldn't live without.

Yeah, that DVD's so funny. I love the bit where Lars is shouting "Fuck Fuck Fuck" in James Hetfield's face! Poor old Dave Mustaine though, he's still totally fucked up over things...

Alright, this thread made me do it. I just dusted off Master of Puppets and as I'm typing this Battery is blasting through the speakers . \m/ \m/
I always prefered Ride the Lightning however, so I'll have to listen to that one today as well. |

I really don't like Metallica. I hate the machoness of it all, in fact I hate the machoness that seems to run through most metal music and its performers. Still I love System of a Down and Black Sabbath, anything else tends to bore the shit out of me....although Slayer's last album kinda rocked.

Some Kind of Monster (the film) was hilarious. What a bunch of idiots.
I like Master of Puppets OK. On the whole, their music is boring. That Symphony and Metallica thing they did is the definition of terrible. |

I used to love the first 4 albums about 5 years ago but I never listen to them anymore. I happened to see them at download festival last year where they played Master of Puppets in it's entirety plus a shit load of other old songs, it was fucking amazing. Still can't be arsed listening to them though.
