It's my second favorite by only a tiny bit, and I feel like it doesn't get quite the love it deserves. Guitar-wise, the title track is mind-blowing. When that long feedback note comes in after Thurston's solo? HELL YES. And Kim's guitar-as-a-bass thing she has going on for most of the album is pretty interesting to me, as a bass player who can't quite get into guitar.

If I'm driving somewhere and "Washing Machine" (the song) comes on, and I'm less than 9 and a half minutes away from my destination, I will find reasons to extend my drive to hear that entire song. Magic.

About the playing cover material just like the original, in my opinion thereīs no sense. I think itīs much more interesting if somebody makes and plays his own compositions. And if somebody plays covers, itīs interesting if you put there also something own, I mean play it on own way. But of course thatīs only my opinion.

I have done exactly same thing, if there has come some song I love on the radio. Itīs very shame, that they play Sonic Youth very rare in Finland on the radio.

That reminds me... "SKIP TRACER" is the only SY song I've covered. I actually can't find it at the moment on my computer, anyone have it and can upload it for me? I contributed to a board comp many years ago.
