I like Family Guy, and as far as South Park goes, well, I don't have cable anymore, so I don't know. But yes, American Dad is the worst cartoon I've seen, it's just NOT FUNNY. But the reason I quoted this is cause of Futurama... Fox has already had Matt start making more episodes for a comeback, PLUS, ALSO, IN ADDITION TO THAT, there is talk of straight-to-DVD movies, which would be just, well, fantastic.

Futurama is being revived. Comedy Central just bought 18 new episodes to be produced. The tentavive air date of the completed episodes isn't until sometime in 2008. |

i know i'm going to catch hell for this . . . but i actually like south park. it's become quite an amusing form of social commentary. though i have to admit i'm not fond of all the scatology.
i'll agree with most of you that the simpsons should go. it ceased being amusing years upon years upon years ago.

That's what was being discussed as of late last year which reported that CC actually purchased the 18 shows. I suppose there are breach of contract loopholes, but I have heard nothing that this was officially dead since then. There are also rumors now that Fox may get the series back & that TBS/Cartoon Network is interested as well. The latest rumor actually (as I search around) is from Billy West (who does many of the voices) who says that there are to be 26 new shows (2 new seasons) & it's still up in the air as to which network is airing the new shows, so my bad.

all shows should stop after a few series maybe three. its such a shame to watch things go on and get less and less funny like the simpsons etc.
its just the studios making money and re hashing the same shit over and over again because they know they can make money out of it. |

As much as I like Futurama, I don't want more of it.
I used to love Family Guy and was completely stoked about the new season. And don't get me wrong, it was still just as funny. But after 3 episodes I just stopped liking it. Something clicked. It's like a CD where every single song has the same riff and tempo with different lyrics and licks. You can listen for all the nice differences, but in the end it will only make you nauseous. |

What about SNL? Not that I want to see it go, I actually like it... again. It REALLY started to suck in the early 2000's, but I think they figured out the problem and started bringing on people with actual experience in sketch comedy, and not just stand up comedians, and now it's pretty good. But my original point (I tend to lose focus quickly), how much longer do you see it staying on the air? It's been on FOREVER, but has it become a staple, like the Tonight Show?

I FUCKING HATE FAMILY GUY, and I have hated it since the beggining and it is the single stupidest cartoon on television. worse even than the ones about the mummies from egypt that fight mummy crime.
the worst simpson's episode is ten times better than anything the stupid fucking shit sucking Family Guy ever put out. it is just NOT funny. The Fami.ly guy is like watching Robin Williams in his latest movies. you know exactly waht joke they will tell, you know exactly what the punchline will be, you even know exactly how it will be delivered. it is the most basic bullshit easy-joke nonsense around. I FUCKING HATE IT LIKE I HATE U2 Futurama was the greatest. I love watching it on DVD. I hope they bring it back and they get all the same voice talent. remember that it was cancelled after being moved around on the schedule 6 times in 4 years. that is sabotage from the network.
