Even the youngest members of this board must be on the cusp of middle age by now |

sure, but middle age is not old. I'm the same age as nicfit (in fact, we were born on exactly the same day in the same year) but I don't consider myself old by far.

I find it so amusing when I think of some of the insults directed at me on this forum in the past (not T&B) for being old and then I read your posts about your favourite video games or favourite Ween/ LCD Soundsystem albums in your late 30s. In 2018.

I am somewhat ashamed to be playing video games at my age.

No on isn’t on that Monster Hunter World? I’ve already put like 120 hours into it.

been enjoying clash of clans tons for about a year and a half now. so much so i’ve had little need of buying games in recent times. it has enough strategy and variability to keep me interested without huge commitments . plus unlike adaptations of pc games for mobile, this one is great on the ipad.
the whole global multiplayer thing is nuts— i think there are something like 100 million people playing it at once? and when you find a decent clan to park yourself it’s actually quite pleasant. the fact that it’s free (they try to sell you things but you don’t have to, i’ve spent maybe $15 total since i started) definitely a plus. |
