i'd love to see james chance with any lineup. i'm so fucking jealous.
as for the noise extravaganza, i'm not really a fan of any of those folks, saving evan parker (but i'm a saxophonist, so go figure), so i probably wouldn't have had very high expectations for it anyways.

He played in York last night though I wasn't well enough to watch. Apparently he put up a very good show indeed - to nothing over 30 people. It's just shocking. It's really upset me that after 30 years he's so underappreciated. Yet another reason to despise the UK.

all good music probably isn't as popular as it deserves to be though, is it?

didn't understand this part but i'm agree with the guy who said that it's a shame, he'd damn underappreciated, i mean cmon Contort Yourself!!, that's the best tune i've heard aobut mixing damn James Brown with Ornette Coleman!!!!!!!!!!!! and that's not just the sax, but the disco beat from the drummer, that anybody (rapture etc.) has copied now anyways, there's at least one dvd somewhere of him playing live from this era, since then, i haven't found any other props for this dude mr. contortion himself. http://www.waysidemusic.com/ProductI...d=15/DBK%20801 |
