The Departed
Lord of War (released in january in France) A Scanner Darkly (a truly great idea, to alter the image) Borat Wish I had seen L'amant de lady Chatterley and A Prairie Home Companion (how I loved Altman's touch, the way he used sound and how freedom and trust (in his actors) could pour out from the screen). I thought the Science of Sleep was vain. Visually interesting, but the story itself is too loosely built. The main character's last speech I could hardly bear (but that's a moral judgment from my part - couldn't help it though). The fact one scene was shot in a park very close to one of my friend's appartment wasn't enough. |

A Scanner Darkly (fucking awesome)
Little Miss Sunshine Borat And i guess the Departed, although it did not live up to the hype for me. But thats just cause Scorsesse made the most amazing movies in the past. So in comparison to Mean Streets, Goodfellas, Casino, Raging Bull, Taxi, King of Comedy (very underated), and more. The Departed just doesn't make it onto that list for me. And then I just saw the Good Shepard, it was good. Did anyone see that Leonard Cohen doc? I was curious |

Haha, what a shitty year for movies.
Movie of the year was crank. Besides the art, a scanner darkly was an overly simplistic lame mess of a film. |
