You're lucky then Crypto, having God on your side and everything. I'm proud to say that I am a socialist and I'll do just fine without him.

Kerry also infamously referred to Lambeau field as "Lambert" field in an appearance in Green Bay while on the campaign trail.
I'm an NFL fan, but none of this bothered me all that much. He would have made a much better president than Bush repeating. Also, as much as Bob Dole was a doddering old man, he would have been better than Clinton repeating. The only good things that Slick Willie ever did is push for state lottery programs to fund college scholarships and back a balanced budget amendment. The unprecedented economic prosperity we experienced during his two-term tenure was mainly due to an IT boom that was bound to go bust sooner or later. As anyone with a brain can tell, I'm not exclusively a party-line voter. Gore was an idiot to run with Lieberman & he never should have allowed his wife to have any say with the stupider-than-mud PMRC records ratings hearings. That shit (along with Nader) cost him just enough votes to make him lose. The American people and their devil-may-care, lackadaisical, heartbreakingly easily manipulated attitude towards politics has chosen the wrong man for the job of President for over a generation now and ever since the Reagan/Mondale election. The exception to this being the Bush, Sr./Clinton race where we chose correctly simply because Bill was perhaps the lesser of the two evils. What we have gotten in return as public service from all these treasonous jerks that we've elected only serves us right for being such sheep that long to be controlled, used & abused. Maybe some bright day Viagra for the brain can be invented, but what it will actually take for America to wake up is suffering...long, protracted, agonizing suffering. We're just too damn ignorant to respond to much else. And guess what? Lucky for us, there's loads of just such suffering coming down the pike and on the way.

Most of the reason why we've elected the wrong leaders is precisely because such an unacceptably large preponderance of the population apathetically refuse to exercise their right to vote.
The deck is stacked against us, that's true. The choices usually come down to a lesser of two evils, yes. But, the fact remains that unless you vote, the elite have no reason to fear your power as an electorate. Not to deter anyone determined to vote at all, but the last election saw the move to electronic voting machines; these devices can be hacked.

Then educate yourself, I guess. And don't just listen to who your dad thinks is right, like Cryptohoihoqfh does, as his thoughts and ideas are most likely out-dated.

If one cares, then self-education should be automatic criterion before voting. Sadly, it isn't. Sadly, most voters think they are informed when, in the words of John Lennon, they're "still fucking peasants as far as I can see."
Too many people have it too good to really care enough to get past all the spin control. Many, many people aren't going to be having it too good for very much longer. The borrowed time & money is about to catch up with the good 'ol U.S.of A. So, once again, let me tell you...doom and gloom here...but much that we take for granted here in America regarding quality of life is set to change in the next few years...dramatically.

I hope I'm wrong, but for starters, what I see occurring is more terrorist attacks in America within a year of the next election or within a year after the next election.
Bear in mind that I was correct and quite prescient about all aspects and the ramifications of the invasion of Iraq.

I don't really care if you live with, or speak to, your dad. That wasn't my point.

The only political idea that really amounts to a hill of beans is the conception of amending our constitution to disallow repeat terms of major office.

I knew a guy (a minor) that said the other day (to other minors) "George Bush is a dumbass, don't vote for him in 2008!"
I laughed... Anyway, Atari do you think Al Gore was a better choice? If so how?
