Again, I was judging from the fact that you skateboard and I read your name as "Thrasher02". Quote:
I wear almost nothing but sports coats and blazers. It works for me. However, I can't even recall what you look like. It may look terrible on you or it may look fantastic. Are you an artfag?

I try not to wear anything that can be referred to as a "blazer."
I have a problem with that word for some reason. I also have a problem with the word "blouse." And of course "slacks." |

Yeah, I think there's a big difference between a blazer and a sport coat, though.
HaydenA., I'm told--by reliable sources who also happen to know and love me--that I look professorial or editorial in mine. The horn-rimmed glasses help, as does my worldly manner. Think Robert Redford in Spy Game, Jack Nicholson in Wolf. I'll leave it at that.

A cape cannot be called a blazer. I stand by it. Besides, that fucker is warm and in February warm is good. |

Are there rules about what looks good on one's feet when wearing a sports coat? Generally I wear brown oxfords, but I've seen guys wear sneakers/athletic/hiking shoes, and I shudder. Wrong, just wrong.

Sneakers/sport coat=Jerry Seinfeld. Not a good look.
I think in your profession all tweed coats are required to have suede patches on the elbows, are they not? |

Suede patches--not in my fashion book! Ugh.

People who live in California do not get to talk about what people who get real winters wear during the cold stretches.
I suppose looking like the Michelin Man is a better choice? Most of the time these days I go for my 1940s German full length leather firefighter's jacket when the wind chills get way down there. Very Gestapo-looking. As for the cape, it is more like a coat with slits for your arms to go through. It buttons up the front and is made of black wool. I suppose "cloak" is a more apt term, but that doesn't make it sound any less nerdy. |

I'm totally in need of help. I guess I'm a flat/lame minimalist, because all I wear are plain white t-shirts and plain denim jeans. I want to look like I'm into the things that I'm into (art, basically) without actually wearing an ad for what I like. I want my attire to be personal, but not showy. And I live in Miami, so I can't layer.
My personality: modest + mellow + occasionally silly + into the arts... |

Why do you need help? That sounds perfect to me.

Vintage clothes.
They made some great short-sleeved shirts for the Dapper Man back in the day. There are a lot of vintage threads in solid colors/minimal patterns that are made of very comfortable and thin materials for your type of climate. If you wear glasses, this type of dress can really work for you. It's arty, but still basically a pair of pants and a short sleeved shirt. |

Back in high school (10th grade, was it?), that was the plan; to print graffiti graphics on t-shirts. I was totally into hip-hop culture at the time. But I'm getting tired of just wearing t-shirts now. Polos are too formal. I might pick up a fashion magazine today for ideas. |

Hm. No disrespect, but that is a ludicrous idea. I'm too alpha-male for such prissy activities. I think I'll just look through a 'zine. |
