I used to have the colourised version of this. What a bizarre concept colourising was. They also did it to a lot of Laurel & Hardy films.

dr666 - at the time that I was getting hold of loads of that stuff, it was the one film I figured that non-one would like at all - remember, this was the ers of "Women's Camp 119" et al. It was one of those films I saw as a child and for years had a vague recollection of it, but couldn't remember the title. Then I just happened to see it on TV one night.

Very much a film of its time and place.

That psychedelic soundtrack is great too.

It's a shame that time has passed when you could see films like that on BBC2.

Indeed, Pookster, which makes it all the better, in my dementia-ridden brain. A very good Brit counterpart to a lot of the better 60's/70's biker films... on an unrelated tip, are you into the films of Pete Walker ("Frightmare", "House of Whipcord")?

demon - I was speaking to a workmate of mine today about just this...talking of which, my brother spoilt me totally on my birthday with the 20-film set of the "Best of Hammer"...I feel a weekend session is in order!

I got the Pete Walker box set last year. Great stuff on there. Die Marianne Screaming is just bonkers. It's like about eight films at once.
