the golden ratio/golden spiral, "spirals", and fractals are all different things. But this thread is still a bit ace.

*clown tear*
I read the original article which had that picture, actually. Honestly, I think most rationalism is pretty shit. As Ghandi said, "Rationalists are admirable beings, but rationalism is a hideous monster when it claims for itself omnipotence. Attribution of omnipotence to reason is as bad a piece of idolatry as is worship of a stick and stone believing it to be God." That, and reality is pretty boring if experience is pointless. And sorry I've been a prick to you Phoenix over that one thread and all. I really do think of you pretty fondly, mostly likely more than you do of me. |

Bullshit. while not every fractal is a spiral, every spiral or golden ratio is in fact a fractal. do the math take a line. divide into thirds. then draw the three lines, the original line and the two smaller lines, each a third of the original. then do this again. then do it again. now take the golden ratio 'spiral' and graph it on a number line. take the points and do the math. they are fractal in shape as I said, fractals are everywhere.

I strongly believe that everything in the physical world is based on the concepts of fractals. By this I mean if you zoomed in on something and kept zooming you'd get to the point where you encounter a micro universe, but it is only small to us.

I strongly believe that everything in the physical world is based on the concepts of tacos. By this I mean if you are eating something on a taco and kept eating you'd get to the point where you encounter a micro taco, but it is only small to us.
