seriously, you'd do yourself all a favor by checking out bleachmobile, otherwise known as bleach'03. i'll try to dig through my albums and see if i still have one of their albums. its really ridiculously hard rocking stuff.. it's like if afrirampo suddenly became this insane power trio.
is go go 7188 all girls? count them. |

there was a guy in the raincoats in at least ONE of the lineups, couldnt tell you which one though. by the time of their s/t, they were certaily all women i dont know how i forgot errase errata, i love 'nightlife' and 'at crystal palace' as much as any of the noisey art punk albums that have come out this decade. great guitar tones, great band.

i just downloaded some songs off 'detonator'. i dig it, very chaotic and free form punk rock, fem style. not so sure about the afrirampo comparison though, this band is definitley more traditionally punk rock, but just in that fucked up and wierd japanese way. why is everything better in japan?

Oh well the album I have, 3 girls from okinawa has a lot of the weird tradeoff afrirampo vocals and shit.. but with screaming.
and yeah can't believe i forgot erase errata either. best scissor girls tribute band ever. |

I'm as Nipponophilic as the next person, but Afrirampo have never done anything for me in the least.

Quite possibly some of the most simultaneously mind-numbing and irritating bilge I have ever listened to. |

I think I've heard the Donna's once and really disliked them.

The Shangri-Las plus a fuckload of others mentioned in this thread (Raincoats, Slits, OOIOO, Shonen Knife, etc.)
Sleater-Kinney are ass. One of the most annoying bands ever. |

I just realised, do The Slits qualify as an all girl band? Budgie was their drummer, and he wasn't a girl.

Sleater-Kinney
Babes in Toyland early Breeders...as said before a ton of those 60s girl "groups" can't think of any other that I actually listen to at the moment.
