What camera did you use to shoot this video?
My guess is you used one of the Canon DSLRs: 5D, 7D, Rebel T2i or a Vixia?

Strobe lights are a bitch to work with.
You'll always get split-frame exposures if you use
cameras with CMOS sensors.

There are a few ways to deal with this problem.

1. If possible, set your strobes to 42 milliseconds to make sure the flash lasts throughout the entire frame.
With a bit of luck and a few takes, you'll get a shot where the shutter is in sink with the strobe.

2. Set your shutter speed to 1/50 if you're shooting at 24/25fps.
1/60 for 30fps, 1/100 for 50p and 1/120 for 60p.
50% of the times you'll get a full frame, and one extra split-frame.
In post, edit out the split-frame and make a copy of the full frame.
Tedious workflow.

3. Export .tiff files of the bad frames to Photoshop and "fix" them.
Again, very tedious.

4. Don't use a strobe. Create the effect in post using a filter.

Personally, I always go for option 4.
There are many filters out there that will do a great job
and you wouldn't be able to tell the difference.

All in all, it's a nice gory vid. I like it. :-)
