What atsonicpark says is his opinion also, even if he does come across arrogant while expressing it.

But hey, it's the internet.

Yeah, it's an opinion, I don't know how my posts get read like my opinion is the gospel. And I always find it hilarious when people are bothered by my opinions... other people's opinions don't bother me in the slightest! I even clearly stated that I'm glad he finds some worth in this film -- but I don't. And I'm not being sarcastic: I 100% hope people enjoy this film.

I don't really know how to word my posts to not look like I'm being an asshole. I just know what I'm talking about -- that doesn't make me right or wrong, just informed.

I don't mean any harm...

I just find Betrand's overall way of expressing thoughts much more in line with what I consider to be a socially working output. Not to mention I admire the man and his avatar.

I mean, to each his / her own, but - fuck Romero? C'mon, what are you, some random 6th grader? "I've seen more films than you did, so I know what I am talking about?"

It's not like shoving shit down your throat makes you a bullshit expert buddy. Seriously.

All in all, I didn't mean to be rude or anything, just leveling to the way you're bringing up stuff.

So in the same honesty, whoever can't decipher the poetry in DAY OF THE DEAD is a mroe or less a lost cause to me....

cheers!

Okay, fair enough, though I don't try to shove my ideals down people's throats, I just usually don't say anything unelss I know what I'm talking about.

Also, is "fuck Romero" really that different from saying "Romero sucks" or "I hate Romero"?

Haven't seen it yet, but I fell asleep twice trying to get through Land Of The Dead. That being said, I'm still planning on going ahead and buying Diary.

Of that seventies generation he was never the most talented of directors (John Carpenter surely winning that trophy). What Romero had was attitude and ideas. The attitude dropped once he wasn't having to fight for every foot of film and the ideas just dried up of their own accord.

Ironically, the most important of that generation of directors was probably one of its least talented: Wes Craven.

you might want to say the most influential...? it's kinda clear theres much more important filmmakers from that period...
