Giant squids aren't mythical, but they're pretty easy to avoid if you are a non deep-sea dwelling Human Type Creature.

^ Heh heh.
I voted for giant wasps, because I'm scared of regular wasps and I've seen giant ones and they are terrifying. A swarm of them could disable you within seconds. |

Well, giant squids exist, but they ar not as big as in the "mythical" drawings... I mean, it's like comparing Nessie with an anaconda...

without a doubt, giant wasps.
I'm not sure if it's a lingering effect from being stung in the ear as a child, or the green radioactive haze they give off.... |

the kraken from Clash of the Titans, Medusa as well is pretty scary, if youre talking current myths Id say the shark from Jaws, megaladon(which is extinct fortunately.)
oh forgot- the exploding, electrocuting con-edison manhole covers in NYC |

Unicorns. I'm not a fan of animals with phalluses. And, unlike most of the list, they are actual mythical animals, rather than faintly disturbing ideas.

It was a totally random choice, just because they were the cutest animal I could think of at that moment and I wondered if Porky would be scared of them.

My goodness! That was a rabbit.
I voted for giant spiders. If a tiny one gives me the shivers and can't come closer than one meter from it, imagine a giant one. Brrrr... There's something basically creepy about how a spider lives.
