Idioteque actually has some pretty cool metric conflict going on between synthesizer and percussion. As a song that uses elements of electronica, it's great.
And it's cool that they sampled the computer piece by that Princeton fellow, but I'm skeptical about the Tristan chord thing that saoq brought up. I don't really hear it in the sample they used. Hasn't it been transformed beyond recognition? And isn't it only recognizable in context? |
