yeah, good point. but it happen not very often to me, when I put sy record and listen to the whole album, without skipping. there are only few sonic albums without any mistakes I think.

All this talk about not listening to the leaks is silly. I mean, if you don't wish to, fine. However, to me, downloading MP3s ahead of time is just like hearing songs on the radio ahead of an album coming out (except in the case of Sonic Youth, that's not likely to ever happen...) It only builds the anticipation of the real thing for me.

I'm going to try very hard to resist listening to any leaks before I own the physical copy. I might listen to one song, but that's it.

I downloaded Rather Ripped, and I felt really guilty -- not because I downloaded it: I was going to buy it regardless, but I felt I cheated myself by not waiting and allowing myself to have a near-fatal heartattack when I finally had it in my hands (like what happened with Nurse, Murray Street and NYC G&F). It just wasn't the same knowing that I was familiar with all the music on it already.

No way in HELL am I waiting until June 9th. March? April? Sure no problem. June? IMPOSSIBLE! I'll take a leak if possible and pre-order the whole package vinyl included. Resistance is futile.

I was told by a source close to the whole thing that the new stuff was so "sick" it was going to "fucking blow my mind!" NO LIE!

The less waiting there is the better. I'm dying right now!

thats exactly what happened to me too. i wasn't even sure if sonic youth was going to record a new album. but luckily they're ETERNAL. i'm with you, man. im fucking waiting
