Surely, you are not serious. I see tons of pseudo-punks walking around in Misfits garb in my town. Hell, even Sam Goody carries Misfits backpacks and shit. Terrible Band. Horribly OVERrated.

I agree with gutarpro....ignore the stupid kids wearing the shirts and focus on the music. A lot of them prob. just like the shirts because they have skulls and shit on them. They fucking rock. I've never heard them to be "rated" high anyway. This thread is total specualtion based on what ya like.

I guess but to say the are underrated is ignorant. Kids who've never even heard them say they like them. They are about as popular as the fucking Ramones.

Perhaps not underrated, but underappreciated (as previously corrected by Atari haha)
Public Enemy And I don't think Grandaddy gets enough play. That's all I have to say on the under/overrated issue, for the rest of eternity. |

More people should listen to Modest Mouse and the Unicorns.

They've recently broken up. I think I can YSI those albums but I suspect that might be against the rules. |

Coupla nice choices there! I have over 50 Legendary Pink Dots and related releases; they are fantastic. I also have all the Felt LPs; Maurice Deebank's guitar has literally brought me to tears. |

I don't have much by either of them.
Got to see LPD about a year ago, though. |

DJ Shadow's amazing. If you're into him, you should check out Sixtoo. He pretty much takes the whole beatmaking process a step further.

I've seen LPD about 8 times since 1991; they are incredible. I liked them a lot as a live group when they had Ryan Moore with them, and had real drums. My avatar pic was actually taken when I got to open for them during the time I spent playing guitar in a friend's band, strangely enough.

You guys do understand that UNDERRATED does not mean lots of people do not like them? It means that they are not held up to the same lvel of esteem as they deserve.
The Misfits have many fans, but nowhere near the Ramones. The Misfits are seen as a cartoon because oif the stupid fucking comback those losers did. The original Misfits were singular, nothing like them ever nothing ever like them.
