Believe it or not, as big a fan as I am of the whole 'no wave/white noise' thing, I've never actually listened to Big Black. To reference Keith Richards, Should I shave and go home now...?

Too short? One song is 4 minutes! Most are 2-3, just like every other Big Black song/album.

I mean, they weren't a prog band, they didn't have guitar solos, they didn't have time changes (hell, they rarely had drum beat changes), why would they ever need long songs?

Perfect song length to me is 1:50.

I've never considered them apart of any "no wave/white noise" thing.
