I've never heard any Henry Cow. why would liking them make you the enemy of punk? Do they sound like Deacon Blue or something?

Not at all, dr666. I can't give you a better answer now, as I'm listening to Skullfloer's "Form Destroyer" now - my perfect 12" right here. Sorry senor.

I bought a BAD best of. Most of the songs are awful, but E=MC2 is great.

Yeah, E=MC2 is a great song. But Medicine Show wasn't too bad either, or V 13. Their overall sound has dated horribly, but at least they were having a go. It's like they took the Sandinista album as their model and just went for it. It may not have all worked (as was the case with a good 60% of Sandinista), but their first album at least, I still believe, was a bit of a cracker. It had 'Bottom Line' on it ffs. Great tune.
The Phish comparison I don't understand at all. |

I actually quite liked BAD despite my childish opening post.
And I really like Mick Jones despite his seemingly desperate need to hang out with the latest Clash-a-like singer/band. All of the first four or five albums had good stuff on, particularly No. 10 Upping Street (worst album title since Combat Rock), which had some decent Strummer/Jones tunes (V. Thirteen for example). Never heard of Phish. Sound like twats. |
