I dont want to sound stupid... but I dont know anything about flac... I assume I'd have to convert flac files if I wanted to import them to iTunes?

yep, you can easily make wavs with flac frontend (you just need to select the files and hit "decode" ) and then you can put wavs in your itunes/ipod for uncompressed listening pleasure or convert to mp3 for "personal use" with a plethora of different well known programs (itunes itself can do mp3s from wavs, dunno if latest versions recognize flacs directly too).

Sonic youth acoustic just probably doesn't n eed to happen.... aside from a few songs that were already acoustic centric.

Lee did a brillant acoustic version of 'Wish Fulfillment' (Dirty) at the end of his music poetry spezial set with Leah Singer at Tacheles Berlin (24.02.1994)

It would be a good bonus track for the next solo album of Lee!
