I've get people commenting on my Nirvana shirt a lot too. Most of the time I just laugh and walk away.
I met one of my friends girl friends once while I was wearing my a Nirvana shirt and she was wearing a Kurt one. She just kind of looked at me the whole time and didn't say much (she looks like a mix of Marilyn Manson and that guy from AFI haha). Then the next time I saw her was after a show on the front steps of a grocery store and she sat next to me and started yelling in my ear saying something like "I SAW YOU A COUPLE DAYS AGO WHEN I WAS WITH KYLE, AND YOU WERE WEARING THAT SHIRT, AND I DIDN'T EVEN FEEL LIKE I NEEDED TO TALK TO YOU, YOU KNOW????? YOU KNOW HIS BIRTHDAY???? I DOOOO." She was piss drunk and kind of scary hahaha.

SONIC YOUTH STORE
http://www.kungfunation.com/index.as...S&Category=124 Kung Fu Nation the brown shirt is fucking NICE. it is printed with an odd thing, some sort of bleaching solution, that instead of leaving a layer of ink atop the fabric, bleaches the fabric so it is supa soft right off the bat! never fade!

Dude, please do not go into Hot Topic. I absolutely detest that store. It's the worst store for buying rock and roll shirts. It's where all the stupid wann be punk kids and stupid metal heads spen their time. It's great if you wanna buy a Insane Clown Posse shirt or a Disturbed chain wallet, but not for us with a good taste in music. Stay Away! Abandon every hope, ye who enter here.

Hot Topic blows. The only thing I've bought there in the last 4 years is Smiths t-shirts that were on sale.
It is called the internet.

I agree. I wear my Nirvana t's with great care nowadays because too many stupid people like them but only know Nevermind. They never really go the extra inch and listen to their other albums which are much better. I also wear my SY tshirt (homemade) and people just look at me like I'm crazy or poor or something. Mostly because I'm wearing a tshirt with magic marker scribblings in a trippy style of a group that 95% of people have never heard of. The people at my college are all idiots so they don't get the reference. None of them listen to good music. There's only like 4 people who listen to good music. The rest are all stupid wigga's and wannabe punks/posers.

I still have the Heart Shaped Box t-shirt with the hearts all on it, but I haven't worn it since I was in like 8th grade because it makes me look like a douche.

i think I've already posted about this issue. Unfortunately for those of us who appreciate good music, Kurt Cobain opened up the flood gates for all of this post-2000 musical garbage the floods the airwaves and minds of young people today. When he made it multi-platinum to write three chord punk rock with good solid drum work, yet have apolitical and even nonsensical lyrics, all of a sudden BOOM! here comes emo and screamo and whatever the hell they call this crap thats out these days. I still love you Kurt, but you seriously fucked up there. You created the nineties version of androgenous male rock stars/fans with cute hair and make up.

I've got a gunge kid at my school haha. He's got the whole flannel thing going on and a jean jacket with a bunch of Pearl Jam and Alice In Chains patches on the back, plus the ripped jeans and such. He never used to dress like that, just one day out of the blue... It makes me laugh.
