We need only look at the cast of the worst ever record shop-based film ever to see this:

My sisters had a thing for super tight leggings, slouch socks and boots, taffeta in numerous colours.. and the average supertight jeans and t shirts and wayfarers.
early 90's fashion isn't all bad. Sexy girls in grungy dresses and short a-lines, sheer black stockings and boots.. absolutely kill me.

sorry buddy, you're wrong. plus, portishead isn't cool at all. Innovative, sure, i'll give 'em that, but "cool," no. They never clicked with me, personally. Too whiny.

dude, even you have to admitt that shit above is the worst... I'll take the worst yuppy/hippy/dippy fashion.. I'll take the worst a disco has to offer.. I'll take every bit of the 1980s... but that horrifying acid trip called early 1990s fashion I will pass... oh, yeah and of course to you doubters of the shoulder pads in the 90s "Leftover Shoulder Pads Remnants of the eighties were still around for the first years of the 90s and particularly in provincial areas. Short above knee straight skirts and stirrup ski pants masquerading as a refined version of leggings were worn with long chenille yarn sweater tunics, oversized shoulder padded shirts or big embellished T-shirts. The latter gradually reduced in size to become slimmer fitted and semi fitted garter stitch knits with fake fur collars, darted three-quarter shirts and screen printed t-tops minus the pads often worn with tie waist, easy loose trousers, jeans or boot leg trousers."
