if its a problem with the logo on the breast, then fair enough. They are beautiful though.

I'm less than inspired.

It's about the spacing of the stripes.

They do, I agree. I just can't disassociate them from the whole Brit-Pop/New Mod thing now. I've got a chocolate brown one with orange stripes, it's lovely, but I do feel a bit like an ex-member of the Bluetones whenever I wear it.

Yeah. I'm curious where you found that image, DR. I've not seen that on the J. Crew catalog or in stores. And I'm all-too-familiar with both.

If you go with J. Crew, go with the "repp" style. If you're not slim (and there's nothing wrong with that) you might want to stay away for the "tailored" polo and go with their regular fit. Both are good fits, but the regular is more for the bigger physique.

I got a nice cheap maroon one at a Banana Republic outlet. No visible brand names, and a nice slit pocket. I <3 it.

The problem I have with Banana Republic is that they don't look traditional enough. The fit may be okay, but they do odd things with the collars and extra buttons and stuff like that.

It depends on what you want, but when it comes to things like polos, I lilke something that looks as classic and traditional as possible.

I don't understand this thing about men and facial hair at all, at the moment. I have a problem with that, since it doesn't look smart, and men look better when they shave. My mum told me.

it sort of symbolises British fashion to me.

Fred Perry looks like a really effeminate dude version of ScreamingSkull in that 2nd picture.

I've never understood it. I can't think of any man ever who looked good with a mustache and/or beard.

I'm shaving my beard off before the end of next week because my mum's coming over and she'll give me untold aggro the entire time she's here if I've got one. This is ridiculous. I'm a 38 year old man, and I'm absolutely terrified of my mum.
