Both of these artists basically found their sound/niche by being a cleverly self-aware and well-executed amalgamation of obvious influences. They are both rip-off artists in a sense, and they are both perfectly good at it, not to mention successful.

There are numerous nods to any number of musical styles and artists from grindcore to soul to metal to country all over their records. Hell, their latest single sounds EXACTLY like Thin Lizzy!
