I know someone who finished doing freelancing for the Mail on Sunday a few weeks ago with the words: ''I owe the world 5 months of socialism''. He also does freelancing for The Guardian, occasionally. He told me that he wanted to drown Jan Moir in loo-vomit, on his last day at the Mail. I suggested to him that he should have dumped a dead gay in her bedroom, and then write on a national newspaper about it.

What a whiner. Man and the radiator comment about it being "ancient" and not getting what she wants. This *girl* acts like she's a rich 5-year old and hasn't embraced what normal folk living is. Curiously enough, the political dynamics of UK newspapers interests me a bit more than the dynamics of American papers. Of course the disposition of the popular right to sensational vanity carries over.

I get the sense that polarisation occurs in America through radio and cable TV whereas over here its The Mail, Guardian, Telegraph etc.

I find both papers despicable in their own ways. The Daily Mail because it's a package of hatred daily shitting on anything resembling human dignity. The Guardian for being a spineless timewaster with the occasional moment of brilliance, which happens too seldom to classify as genuine, or at least relevant to the reputation it aims to maintain, opposition.

My point is The Daily Mail clearly appeals to a helluva lot more people than The Guardian does. In fact all, bar one, of the other UK papers appeals to a lot more people than The Guardian does. One would think The Guardian was an underground paper.
