I kept on smiling at him while I stood almost in front of the stage he was on last time I saw him play. He didn't smile back though. Maybe he's not that crazy like they say.

i meaned thurston is is cool or funny like lee. christ novoselic is the same league. he did some great stuff in the early 90 is. of course this is a sonic youth forum but i dont care.i basicly love both bands. point whatch this.most people dont know about it: its hilarious. there is someone who shouts play fucking girls ( i think he wanted to hear about a girl) classic. we should make a pool. who is the greatest entertainer. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ACssa...eature=related and there is another woman who shouts halts maul wich is a slang in german for shut up |

thanks Murmer I watch the interview he sure was jumpy right at the beginning maybe he's hyperactive and that's why interrupts. The thing that killed me was the Interviewer was another one of those jokers who thought he was the star of the show and the reason people watched typical of MTV
deejays.

Thurston certainly seems more mellow these recent years. Back in the 80's and early 90's it was all about throwing firecrackers into a sound booth or all of those antics in YPB. The lyrics were wilder back then too. Nowadays it's just 'I AM NOT BECK' T-shirts.
I think I've seen that Steve/Thurston interview. Thurston dominates most of it if I recall. There's another that's just Kim and Steve, that one is pretty even, I think that one was around Experimental Jet Set.

People said I was crazy for sending the Bishop my Deviled Eggs. I laugh at them! As I'm sure mister Moore would also.
Crazy, thurston? No. As a fellow father I can relate to his wacky guitar noises and musical expressions of glee, as fatherhood, is like a gift. Not one of those gifts like a Sneeze Guard for the salad plate that grants instant gratification, but a gift like a subscription to Alpacas quarterly magazine. Afte recieving that subscription, you must wait four months, but, when your digest of all things alpaca finally comes in the mail, you experience a happiness matched only by that of combiing your mustache. If Thurston were crazy, there is no way I would let Brak listen to his sonic sounds of ecstacy. |

I get called Austin Powers all the time... but that might be due to the Thurston cut and glasses.
