Oh you're so right. No cinnamon, no apple pie. I love it sprinkled on my cappucino as well (cinnamon, not apple pie). |

Cinnamon mixed into clotted cream is quite pleasant.
And a stick of cinnamon placed into hot apple juice is an excellent winter drink. Although not as excellent as a glass of port.

It's so appropriate. It makes you feel instantly warm and hearty. Sotherts Old Books, in Chester, has free port for the regular customers in the approach to Christmas, which is a lovely touch. Nice port, too.

pecan and pumpkin are great. as for fruit pies i really like raspberry, which is not on the poll. but blueberry or cherry or basically any other pie is also great.

semantic douchebaggery aside, key lime, pumpkin, coconut cream, and a not-too-syrupy pecan pie (pecan is easy to ruin by oversweetness) all rule.
i've never had meat pies beyond chicken pot pie, but i favor the concept. meat is awesome. also, hachis parmentier >>> shepherd's pie, if we're going to include potato-based "pies". |
