Apparently the whole festival will be streaming here: http://www.personal.com.ar/personalfest/ Please, if somebody is able to capture the webcast of Sonic Youth's performance, do it and share it and i will be your sexual slave! |

StreamTransport doesn't seem to capture the video from this site and neither does the other program that I use. I will be able to get the audio though if I know when it's going to be on.

INXS are about to start now so I guess Sonic Youth will be on in about 2 hours and 40 minutes? I'll either try and stay up to record it or just leave it recording all night...
If anyone else could try and grab this too incase I mess it up that would be good. |

Stu, thank you so much for your efforts. I wish I could help, but I'm really limited on bandwidth.

I should be ok to get this but like I said it'll only be the audio. This stream has stopped a couple of times for me but hopefuly it will stay stable for Sonic Youth's performance. You better be ready to be my slave! |

I tried to get the video too but had no luck with any of the programmes I use. So I filmed most of it with my phone camera, Im not sure what it'll look like but if it's not too bad then I'll put them on youtube. |

You can always tag them as "experimental videos" and get famous as video artist.

I'm not 100% sure but it from what I've read it sounds like Sonic Youth's set got cut short because Calle 13 who were on before them played 25 minutes longer than they were supposed to, that's why the lights came on during Sugar Kane. Still Sonic Youth played a great set for about 1hour 20mins.
Here's my mp3 rip of the webcast. http://www.megaupload.com/?d=8YZ4A2YQ I don't think I will put the videos I got on youtube as they didn't turn out well but if anyone really wants to see them then I'll send them to you... |

uh yeh...blurgh. I think they did start later for that, not sure how much shorter the set ended up being (1h 20mins soudns about right for a festival gig?) dunno. yeah. ROB your cousin cut the skronk!!! P.S. THANKS STU!

God damn there's a strong possiblity the band split up after the southamerican tour and I ain't got no money to see them here in Santiago. If any foreign user is thinking about following the band down to this side of the world I'm willing to offer my house so you can stay, eat, sleep, take a bath, play guitar with me, listen to some music, play with my brother's PS3, watch some SY dvd's, have some fun you know.... in exchange I will only ask you to pay for my ticket to the show. I can scort you from the airport the day you arrive and then give you a ride back to the airport when you have to leave.
I don't mind posting this very same message in every related thread, please understand how desperate I am to see what could be my fave band's last tour!!! PM for further details on this offering.
