I'd have listed singles, so I could vote for Method of Modern Love!

Pick a cheese, thewall91. If I was there, I'd buy you a block for your birthday.

There was some Stilton in our cupboard that we forgot about. It went a bit wrong. But it was very, very right. Mmm.

Can't stomach the blue stuff, but plain or with cranberries etc is fine.

Bought a huge block of Gouda today, 'cause Sainsbury's had it cheap at the deli counter. F*&^ knows what I'm going to do with it all!

It's pretty much mozerella deep fried with oil. I guess the A & W picture isn't too adequite to what they really are, since it's commercialized and makes it look terrible.

Bump. I don't think there've been enough responses to this crucial question.

damn you guys,
there is one fucking bloody awesome type of cheese that is only produced in my country...it's called 'Bryndza' or 'Liptauer Cheese' and it tasted maybe a bit unusual at first, but then you fall in love with it.

it's part of our national heritage.

Ah, see, the interesting thing about this thread is that, given the international nature of cheeses, we get to find out what 'regular' means in different countries - for instance, in the UK it's Cheddar, but Slavo has just said that his country has a different 'regular' cheese. This is the fascinating thing, see?

Incidentally, I live not far from Cheddar, and the Cheddar you get elsewhere is entirely different to Cheddar in Cheddar, ie, Cheddar Cheddar is better.

_slavo_, calm down dude. Please. You only get ten poll options on this forum - I've appealed for more, but to no avail. The job of poll-maker demands ruthlessness in one's selection policies. There's something like 700 types of British cheese alone according to the British Cheese Council, so you can see my dilemma.

What does Bryndza taste like? Are there any similar British cheeses.

And when are you going to post somemore of your ambient stuff?

hmm, slightly biased toward british cheeses this poll is... i'm not sure if i even have tasted most of those.

i voted for gouda, since it's pretty much what i grew up with and what i eat the most. but i like mozarella, gorgonzola and brie too. what's favourite just really depends on what other food i'm having cheese with.

cool, man. of course I didn't blame ya for not knowing about a kind of cheese typical for a country with around 5 milion population. ;-). I just wanted to point out that there's some special kind of cheese that most of ya probably don't know...

It's rather salty, it's a cheese made of sheep milk. Delicious!

This is my music site, I got three mp3s over there. Check it out!!!:
