Your rhetorical style and your whole "let me tell you how it is because you just have no idea," especially given that the vast majority of people on this board would be symapthetic to your viewpoint to begin with, is a little unneccessarily strident.

I found out about this watching local news, which is about as lame and mainstream as the media gets. It's not hard to find out.

yes. but the DSCC has already confirmed it. don't worry, the dems have won both montana and virginia. the mainstrem media is just either too wary too report it yet or is unaware.

100% of precincts in Virginia are reporting (source: http://www.nytimes.com/ref/elections/2006/Senate.html)
James Webb (Dem) - 1,172,212 (49.6%) George Allen (Rep) - 1,165,118 (49.3%) that's still 7,094 votes in the Dems favor. There will be a recount, but hopefully it wont change the outcome. Keep in mind that a 51/49 Senate includes Joe Lieberman, who ran as an independent after losing the Democratic primary in CT, in the Democratic column. He has promised to caucus with the Dems, but the Republicans might be able to get him to vote with them on some issues.

It was a wonderful day! So much good news. I enjoyed Hillary's speech that she gave last night.

yes you're partially right, but there are levels of monstrosity, you know... this republican administration has raped not only the world but also the constitution in an unprecedent level.... while i don't expect paradise from a democratic congress, at least someone will be able to put the reins on king dubya. |
