oh man, it's taken me the best of three hours to record my mix, the desk is a sprawling mass of cables, records, cds and a turntable. my computer crashed a total of 5 times, and i've taken up 400mbs of precious disk space.
but my mix is finished, it's uploading now, and badongo says it's got half an hour left. what a lot of fuss, but you have no idea of the great sense of fulfillment i'm experiencing right now. i spose it's the warm fuzzy glow of selling my soul to the digital age once and for all. it's a 50 minute mp3 file and it's about 56 mbs. not bad going i'd say. anyway, here is the tracklist. i'll post the file tomorrow because i'm going to sleep in a minute... Your Dream Lover's On Video Again - Glass Candy Le Fille Qui Donne Le Bonheur - IOIOI 東風 - Yellow Magic Orchestra Orbit Aurora - The Elektrosonics I'll Prove I'm Right - Amboy Dukes Thunder Feedback 2 - Temple Of Bon Matin The Statue Pt. II (A Monument And Its Muse. A Love Story) - Times New Viking The Green Giraffe - Mandarin Movie The Anglican - UJ3RK5 Antennae Remix - Chromatics Je Te Parle Maintenant Même Si Tu Ne Me Répondras Jamais - Audiopixel

Believe it or not, I have no means of putting sound onto my computer at all, unless it's a burnt CD. I'm going to be translating all my tapes into digital format at some point in the next few months, so I'll head back here with a mix then. I am a complete techy retard. I'm sure I've explained this before, but I have a strange curse with electricity. Never been electrocuted, but in every job I've had in the last 4 years, the computer I've been using has had to be replaced within a month. Friend's electric gizmos have been known to suddenly commit suicide in my hands. So I generally try to respect computers by not involving myself with them too much. But I'll endeavour to at some point.

porkmarras, is this a mistake in the uploading? it seems a bit weird, and it's a giant file size. if it's intentional, fine, but just double checking before i download anything dodgy...
This file has been divided into 4 individual 100MB pieces. To view, you must download each part (including the final .badongo reference file) and then use the BaDonGo Helper and Merger Application to merge files back together. Part #1: Click here to download file "porkmix_2.wav.aa" Part #2: Click here to download file "porkmix_2.wav.ab" Part #3: Click here to download file "porkmix_2.wav.ac" Part #4: Click here to download file "porkmix_2.wav.ad"

actually, it's probably because you didn't convert it into mp as it is over 400mb in size.

i made a cool one when i was at home, id add it to the mixtape round but i dont have access to them now. I basically dug out all the old singles and compilations i bought over the years and picked Bsides and rare songs. So this is mainly the cast away songs of indie bands, but its kinda sentimental to me
1. Art Brut - Moving to L.A. (live acoustic version. He makes aeroplane noises) 2. Electric Soft Parade - Blitzed in 7/4 3. Strokes - When it started 4. Ikara Colt - Kite 5. My Vitriol - Game of Pricks 6. The Others - How i nearly lost you 7. Black Rebel Motorcycle club - Screaming Gun 8. At the Drive in - Initiation (Lamaq live version) 9. Libertines - I get along (What a waster single version) 10. ...trail of dead - Richter Scale madness (Peel session) 11. The Divine Brown - I got the Fire 12. Pavement - REM song 13. the cooper temple Clause - Screwdriver song 14. Sonic Youth - Is it my Body? 15. Blackstreet - Rugrats theme tune (Mase does a rap about all the Rugrats characters. Its the worst song ive ever heard, in the best possible way). |
