My in-laws in El Paso used a swamp cooler, until m,y father-in-law hurt himself climbing on the roof to refill the water. They replaced it with an AC unit. Houston TX would have less than 100,000 people living here if AC was not a thing.

But because of the goodness of AC, I’ve heard Houston may top 7 Million in the next census. With all this discussion about heat, thought I would leave this link containing the new Daniele Menche - From Here To Electricity “On these hottest summer days one can one hear the acoustic cracklings and hums from the power lines that feed into the big cities. The hotter the weather the louder the electricity is. The acoustic sounds of this loud electricity is caused by electricity reacting to the moist humidity in the air. This is known as corona discharge. I went deep in the mountains where these gigantic electrical towers come together in an intersection of great voltage intensity. No one else around for miles and no other human-made sounds except for the loud electrical crackling echoing in the mountain forest. This recording is a direct “as is” raw recording of myself walking around these electrical towers. The sound of my feet stumbling on the rocks is heard throughout along with the occasional birds and insects. No mastering or effects were used.” released July 24, 2018 |

Climate change is gonna kill us all.
What can we do as individuals to mitigate the upcoming hell, as individuals/countries whatever? How can we change our way of life radically on a global level? I've never been fervently anti-capitalism, but it now seems to me that this system has caused it all, as well as the horrible waste culture we are now reliant on in the West. What can we do? Other than go vegan/veggie. And other than removing the pornstar shagging egomaniac cunt from office (I'm not American, but come on people, wtf and please...). Also, part of me which is demoralised at the fact that - among people that tend to care about things like this - more attention (much more) is given to no-mark social justice issues, instead of the fact that the world is heading to shit and we've destroyed so much life on the planet due to unsustainable living. I don't wanna appear like a dick, but issues like taking grave offence because someone got your gender wrong or whatever seem to be the kind of thing that should be relevant in a utopian, globally united society that isn't on the verge of killing, or at least displacing, billions of people... But there you go. Anyway - that's my first post on here in a while. Life is good, eh! |

We do what people have done forever in the face of climate change: adapt or move or die. You put your house on stilts or move your town up the hillside. Personally we live a more sustainable lifestyle, consuming less, avoiding corporate poisons, not traveling on jets and eating and thinking for wellness. Ram Dass said it best: "Be Here Now". the sheer bioload of the human race and parallel need to scarify the earth's surface exponentially is changing climate now - there are heat bubbles around the cities - Talking about pollution is taboo, as if the toxic waste problem is gone. There is no discussion on the issue of toxifying and heating the environment; inundating it in electromagnetic pollution, massive unrestricted layers and layers of waves of microwaves and other frequencies blasting the biosphere. Climate is constantly changing and there is a large industry invested in making us think we are responsible personally for the movement of glaciers and eruption of volcanoes. |

Lulzorzzzzzzzz. I don’t think u get what’s actually happening with the “climate” — the planet is irrevocably fucked. But yeah we should just put our houses on stilts. That’ll fix it My house won’t eveb go on stilts. Pretty sure your house has to be pre-stilt-fitted in order for stilts to be a viable option. |

For Labor day weekend, my girl n I drove down the coast to the Redwood forest. The west coast is pretty damn gnarly. Here's some video of it. Nothing really exciting...but fuck do I love driving down that highway. So many places to pull over and go to an desolate beach......I was in love.

Well, I'm at least self-aware enough to know when I'm being overly hormonal and ridiculous. God bless teen life.
