saw v - 2/10 (watched this one on watch-movies; I refuse to give these people any money.. I dunno how I managed to sit through 2 and 3 of this series, but my friends were all pretty wild about these movies... when I saw 4, I really liked it actually, and I thought the series was gonna go in a cool direction, but this is easily the worst of the 5! Jesus!)
2ldk - 7/10 (really brilliant minimalist violent Japanese flick with only one location and 2 people... extremely entertaining and well-made though I probably won't want to watch it for a while) exiled - 7/10 (another really good johnnie to film, this one is really slow to get going and a bit overlong but I enjoy how quiet and understated the whole thing is) the glamorous life of sachiko hanai - 5/10 (japanese pinku film with the most ridiculous plot yet... a sex worker gets knocked out and gains psychic powers and this somehow ends with george bush's severed finger raping her and her saving it and people trying to kill her to get the finger so they can start a nuclear war; not as good as it sounds because there's just too much unerotic sex in it, but it's probably worth watching once..) |

On halloween: Zack and Miri make a Porno
Pretty good, not as awesome as I thought it would be. 7/10 Last night: Andre the Butcher 10/10 just fucking amazing Eraserhead 9.5/10 I've never reacted to a movie like I did to this one. Normally I can say if I liked or disliked a movie much more clearly, but I cant with this one. Visually though, this movie was just fucking fantastic.

Eraserhead I agree on wholeheartedly. Yet, I strongly disagree on Andre The Butcher. I couldnt have hated it more! Zack and Miri looks great though.

Pretty entertaining if not equally horrifying. Man, I didn't know that Bush talked to Ted Haggerd every Monday morning.....Jesus, indeed. I was hoping that it would be better/more focused on his painting a la Pollock. That guy played a pretty good Francis Bacon though.

atsonic, RE: yr SAW comments up there. Strangely SAW IV was by far my favorite. I really liked the first one when it came out. I mean, I saw it in the theater and it had this cool vibe to it at the time. II and III were ok I thought, but then IV was like "wow, I actually REALLY liked that one!" SOOO now I am interested in seeing V. But they shoulda kept Shawnee Smith as the new Jigsaw.

Well yeah IV is probably my favorite too as I said above. Well, IV and I. I think II is one of the worst films ever, and III isn't much better. But trust me when I say part V is the WORST.
For those with netflix, I just made a list: http://www.netflix.com/StrangerLists...howList=260077 100 "brain bending films" |

i don't know why i never bothered watching this movie before. i'll make sure i lock up my bike every time i get off of it. i mean, i wouldn't as desperate like the ricci since i can always ride the train to work, but if i was ever a delivery guy i would be fucked like ricci was. also, the movie is actually called the bicycle thieves. i just liked the picture. since everyone else is doing a scoring system. 9/10 |

Awesome. THE EVIL DEAD is my favorite film of all time. The 2nd one is great, too. Funnier. I'm definitely a big fan of the whole series. I even plan on hunting down the non-related Italian sequels. Yes. I'm just that lame. |
